Ruqyah Al – Shariah is an Islamic Method of Incantation/Enchanment of Quranic Verses

in treating of Evil Eye/Magic/Jinn Possession and other undefined ailments in the light of Quran and Sunnah.

Ruqyah is derived from the verb “Raqa” which means recitation, & Raaqi is a person who recites the verses of Holy Quran for the treatment of affected persons.

Ruqyah Al Shariah is defined as the branch of spiritual healing that guides a patient to heal by reciting th Quranic Verses under the light of Quran & Sunnah.

The basis of Ruqyah al Shariah / Islamic Ruqyah is to ask Almighty Allah for complete healing. 

For Eg:- A person suffering form Evil Eye/ Jinn Possession/ Prolong Sickness is cured by reciting

Quranic Verses which Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Companions recited specific verses of Quran

Quran  Surah 17/ Ayat 82

“We send down the Quran as a healing and mercy for the believers, but it only increases the wrongdoers in loss”.

Sahih Bukhari  Vol 7 / Book 71 / Hadees no. 642

Narrated  ‘Aisha: Allah’s Apostle used to read in his Ruqyah, “In the Name of Allah” The earth of our land & the saliva of some of us cure our patient with the permission of our Lord”. With the slight shower of Saliva while treating with Ruqyah

Sahih Muslim  Chapter 16 / Book of Greetings / Hadees no. 2188

Ibn ‘Abbas reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:  The influence of an evil eye is a fact; if anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an evil eye, and when you are asked to take bath (as a cure) from the influence of an evil eye, you should take bath

Sunan Abu Dawood Book 22, Number 3865:

Narrated Abudarda: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Allah has sent down both the disease and the cure, and He has appointed a cure for every disease, so treat yourselves medically, but use nothing unlawful.
